Littlestone

Except for a few slight alterations by Dr. Mackenzie of Augusta and Lahinch fame, the Littlestone course on the English Channel in Kent is unchanged from the 1920’s. It enjoys a remote setting that will get you away from the hustle of everyday life.It is used as a qualifying course for the Open when it comes to Royal St. Georges and is as good a test as any Open venue. Beautiful sea views with ocean winds ensuring it to be one of the driest courses in the UK. This leads to fast running fairways and even faster greens that are hard to match for their slick true roll. The links saves the best ’till the end where the closing holes are probably its strongest test.

Many past greats have had a hand in the history of this fine links including Laidlaw Purves, Harry Colt, Alaister Mackenzie, Peter Alliss and Donald Steel.
