Nairn

Nairn’s greens are renowned for their quality and speed. Andrew Simpson laid out the original course in 1887 which was then extended to a plan by Old Tom Morris. The present layout owes most to James Braid who made major improvements to create a course of championship standards.

The links stretches out along the Moray Firth offering a very rewarding but extremely tough test to every standard of golfer. With a traditional links feel, meaning the first nine holes play away from the clubhouse with the back nine coming home. Every hole is memorable and there is no weakness to the links.

Plenty of gorse and bunkers and distracting views over the Moray Firth to the highlands this links is no push over. Quality iron shots are demanded to score well and with the putting surfaces lightening fast and probably the best greens you will experience anywhere, your putter will have to be hot.
