Western Gailes

Less widely known than the Open Championship venues of Prestwick, Royal Troon and Turnberry which lie in close proximity, this is nonetheless one of the finest tests of traditional links golf in Scotland. The links is a tough challenge with heather, gorse and near inescapable rough for the wayward golfer. If that’s not enough the presence of three burns and a ditch cross the course at least seven times. Beautiful views across the Clyde Estuary to the peaks of Arran create a wonderful setting and a memorable discovery.
