Wales Golf Courses

The choice of courses in Wales is almost endless for the discerning golfer.

Golf Courses across Wales

Wales is an ancient land with much to offer the traveller, and indeed the golfer. From the dramatic mountain scenery of Snowdonia in the North to the coalmining valleys in South Wales, there is always something of interest.

The vibrant capital city of Cardiff in the south offers a contrast to the sleepy fishing villages in the north.

We have made a few suggestions of places to stay below, but of course there are many other fine options available and we can discuss that with you to find accommodation that suits your needs and should allow you to play the courses you have in mind.

Aberdovey

Aberdovey is a challenging links course with giant sand dunes, fast and tricky greens and vicious bunkers! Not an easy hole on the course!.

Celtic Manor

Celtic Manor golf course has dramatic sweeping landscape with amazing views. Valleys naturally contour every fairway and forest frame this long championship course in to a masterpiece.

Nefyn

Situated in North Wales upon the cliffs of Lien peninsula, it uses this spectacular positioning to the fullest with stretches of the links encompassing the the cliffs and the headland. It s a proud boast of the club that you will never lose sight of the sea from any point on the course.

Royal Porthcawl

This is probably the finest course in Wales.A true test of links with hints of heathland that s set overlooking the ocean enabling you to sea the sea from every hole. Breathtaking sights abound with views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset, Swansea Bay and the Gower peninsula. It rightly deserves to be categorized as one of the greatest championship links in the British Isles.

Royal St Davids

This course is one of the worlds toughest Par 69 s where length off the tee gives a distinct advantage however it consoles you afterward as St David s has reputation for being one of Britain s friendliest clubs. A great 18 and even greater 19 th -need we say more!

St Pierre

Situated with in St.Pierre Park in Chepstow the surroundings are simply breathtaking. The land was originally a deer park and contains an 1 acre lake at the centre of the old course. The second course called the Mathern is also an excellent adventure but much shorter than its championship sister.
