Ruthin Castle

Ruthin Castle was a Welsh fortress, originally made of wood and stone and then rebuilt and enlarged in 1296 and has faced years of ruin and restoration. The main part of the castle that stands today was built in the early 19th century, with earlier ruins still to be found within the grounds. The spacious public rooms are elegantly decorated with period furniture and paintings, and include a medieval banqueting hall, where guests can dine in style. The bedrooms are spacious and furnished with fine period pieces and individual touches.
